A year later than planned and a lot less guests, Mr and Mrs Cotter finally wed on the beautiful Sunny Spring Sunday in April 2021. The entire day was emotional as they had been awaiting this moment to become husband and wife for quite some time. Over the last couple of years I spoke to Hayley and James many times regarding their wedding day plans and then as the pandemic hit I was there to support them as they were left on the edge as to whether their day would go ahead or not. They moved their wedding date multiple times as the government restrictions altered time and time again. This March they had to move their day last minute to a few weeks later so that they could celebrate with 15 of their closest family and friends. They have opted to have a larger celebration and party later in the summer which I can not wait to photograph either! What was a stressful, heartbreaking and emotional time they took it in their stride and remained positive and also kind. As suppliers we were going through a really tough time too so with thoughtful, caring and understanding couples such as Hayley and James they made our outlook much more positive. In this dark times we have to care and look out for each other and because of this I felt it was even more special to be capturing their day for them. Kamie at the Floral Cheyne was creating the beautiful florals for this wedding at Bordesley Park. Supplier contact turned friends it was a really lovely morning to be able to spend some time with my dear friend as she prepared the flowers for the day. The simple, elegant and timeless white and green style that the couple had chosen worked beautifully among the country setting at Bordesley Park. Hayley began her day at home getting ready, with the incredibly talented ladies, Jess from Jessica Ava Makeup and Zoe at Bliss Hair! Due to the pandemic I wasn’t able to capture her getting ready but we did make sure we got a few in the beautiful dovecote bridal prep room at the venue. As the guests were seated, James took his place by the front as the warm spring breeze blew into the barn. Elsie, who was their flower girl, floated into the room with a massive grin on her face. Arms open wide she gave her Dad, James, a massive hug before waiting patiently for Hayley to walk down the isle. Hayley looked sensational in her floor length beaded gown. Arm in arm with her father, the emotion was written all over her face. Tears filled everyone’s eyes. This was the moment they had been longing for. The ceremony was beautiful, intimate and so personal. They exchanged rings and sealed their vows with a kiss, they were finally Mr & Mrs Cotter!! A clink of fizz and a moment alone, I snapped a couple of photographs before gathering the guests on the lawn for group shots and confetti. The rest of the afternoon was so relaxed, the champagne was flowing, Elsie had taken over my job taking photographs on the phone and danced around the lawn as congratulations were shared. We took to some shade for the couple photographs and wondered the grounds for some peace and quiet. It was a pleasure to photograph this intimate wedding day for the happy couple and I can not wait for the party to continue in a few months time. I think their reaction to me sending their gallery of photographs says it all : Well what can we say. You are SO talented. The photos are just BEAUTIFUL. How could we ever choose our favourites from those. And we have all of Septembers too. Honestly Laura. We cannot thank you enough. You captured the day perfectly. I’m going to put them all on slideshow again. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. xxx Supplier Love ; Venue : https://www.bordesleypark.co.uk Florist : https://www.TheFloralCheyne.co.uk MUA : https://www.jessicaava.com Hair : https://www.blisshairtherapy.co.uk

Laura, thanks for this lovely blog and for everything you did on the day for us. Thanks for all your support and patience before the big day too. Our families have commented on numerous occasions since on how taken they were with you as a person, your photography skills and what you added to our special day. We cannot wait for September when we get to do it all again! Sending your heartfelt thanks and appreciation. James and Hayley Cotter
